According to the book description of Path of the Golden Dragon, “Matthew Berkeley, former U.S. Navy Special Warfare officer, attempts to stem the tide of corruption sweeping the Caribbean island of St. Michael, corruption brought by the Golden Dragon Society in its escape from Hong Kong and the 1997 takeover by the People's Republic of China. Drawn into the Dragon's grasp by the brutal death of his closest friend, the assassination of St. Michael's president, and his unexpected love for terminally ill Dr. Sara Hawkins, St. Michael's Assistant Medical Examiner, Matthew's search for truth plunges him into a world of political intrigue and murder.”

According to the book description of The Red Hand, “Abduction of Britain's First Sea Lord of the Admiralty matches Matt Berkeley, former U.S. Navy officer, against the Irish Republican Army's Red Hand, "... the first to strike blood for its people; the first to shed blood for its cause.”

According to the book description of Death's Bright Angel, “This is another action/adventure novel featuring Matthew Berkeley, former Naval special operations officer and now head of security for an archaeological agency. Berkeley's antagonist is the mysterious Azrael, whose deep hatred of abortion becomes the driving force for serial murder in the Jacksonville, Florida, area. Cast as a suspect in the brutal killings, Berkeley must unmask this angel of death before he and Peyton, the woman he loves, fall victim to Azrael's madness.”

According to the book description of The Collector, “Matthew Berkeley pits his crime-solving skills against a murderous "Collector" of priceless artifacts in Bermuda and the South Carolina Low Country (Charleston, Port Royal Sound, Beaufort, Hilton Head Island), where The Collector's target is the solid gold casting of the Great Seal of the Lords Proprietors of Carolina, stolen in the eighteenth century by "gentleman pirate" Stede Bonnet, and found buried on a Low country plantation.”

According to the book description of Judgment Call, “This is an action/adventure novel, set in Charleston, South Carolina, and featuring protagonist Matthew Berkeley, a former Naval special operations officer, now security chief for an archaeological agency. Responding to a mother's cry for help, he finds himself confronted with a depraved, cunning and elusive adversary. Kerr also addresses the highly topical issue of medical use of marijuana.
