William Butler was inducted into the US Army in 1965.  After basic training he was assigned Company B 4th BN Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, at Camp Bearcat in Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge in 1967.  William “Bill” Butler is the author of My Silent Hurt is Over.

 

According to the book description of My Silent Hurt is Over, “This book is written from the heart with sensitivity. It describes the Vietnam experience in such a manner that one can almost smell the gun powder, human blood and the stench of war.”
