(ret.) “Earned BS and MS degree from North Carolina State College and a PhD from University of Wisconsin in Agricultural
Economics. He was employed by US Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC, retiring in 1972. he then worked next 20 years
as an agricultural development consultant in 53 countries overseas. During World War Two he served four years as an anti-aircraft
officer and retired from National Guard in 1965 with rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Lieutenant Colonel Job K. Savage is the author
of Tarboro to Katmandu.
