Jesse Holder said of Chutes, Beer, & Bullets: Not Your Grandpa's War Story, “started out as just a time killer for me, but then turned into something much more real and exciting. Writing about past experiences is always fun as it gives you the chance to re-live moments you thought were lost. The journal I kept during combat, pictures, and memories served as the foundation for this book.  My hands were simply the conduit. After a year of writing, my hands typed the final word and at that moment I realized...this story had to be shared.”
