security repair specialist. J. R. Fitzgerald is the author of Arkansas Fury.
According to the book description of
Arkansas Fury, it “is the taut and gripping tale of loyalty between friends and the search
for self-worth amid societal and parental expectations. Set in rural Arkansas, the story involves three
very different teenage boys: James, a high school football start; Steven, a mischievous but good-hearted troublemaker; and
Jacob, a budding martial artist who is often on the wrong side of the law.
When james interferes in a violent
dispute between a close childhood friend, Gina, and her abusive boyfriend, it sets in motion a chain of events that will test
each young man’s notion of who he is and what kind of space he occupies in the world. when do we
involve ourselves in other people’s problems? Where do we draw the line with violent behavior?
Do we listen to our conscience or play the hero?
J. R. Fitzgerald wrestles with questions
both serious and humorous that young men and women face as they attempt to define their characters. More
than a simple matter of right and wrong, Arkansas Fury delves into the deeper questions: Who do
you want to be?”

One reader of Arkansas
Fury said, “This book is easy to read, and has a great pace. I love how the author keeps the characters
on the move. Three male friends about to graduate High School and possibly never see each other again and having to deal with
the consequences of their pranks. This book reminds me of my glory days.”
