on the letters of Edwin Beardsley Campbell (his great grandfather) to his fiancée, Lizzie Lewis during the Civil War.
This is the second volume in telling the story that leads to their reunion and reflects on the danger that awaited every young
soldier as the war between the South and the North heated up. It is a tale of love, separation, anxiety, military action,
and army camp boredom. The historical portions of the novel have been carefully researched at the Hayes Presidential library
and in all of the locations mentioned.”
