Elle James, USAF, “as a member of the Army Reserves and now the Air Force Reserves, Elle's traveled across the United States and to Germany.” Elle James is the author of Baby Bling; Under Suspicion, With Child; Nick Of Time; Texas-Sized Secrets; To Kiss A Frog; Alaskan Fantasy; An Unexpected Clue; Beneath the Texas Moon; Dakota Meltdown; Cowboy Sanctuary; Blown Away; and, Lakota Baby.

According to the book description of Baby Bling, “Shipping tycoon Jackson Champion hadn't become a Texas billionaire by crumbling under pressure. So when his sexy assistant, Ysabel Sanchez, decided to walk away from him and his mega-successful corporation, he wasn't taking no for an answer. After all, memories of their recent one night stand had consumed him, and now Ysabel's inability to meet his eye made him wonder what she wasn't telling him. But exploring their feelings had to wait. An unknown enemy intended to bring down Champion Shipping, and Jackson was an expert at protecting what was his. But could he also lay claim to Ysabel and the secrets she had yet to reveal?”

According to the book description of Under Suspicion, With Child, “As a cop, his job was to capture the killer who'd stirred fear in the citizens of fog-shrouded Raven's Cliff. But Andrei Lagios had his own agonizing reasons for bringing this criminal to justice. And the return of beautiful, pregnant Jocelyne Baker was a distraction he couldn't afford. Yet the moment her life—and that of her unborn child—was threatened, he insisted on working undercover and being her personal bodyguard. Getting close to Jocelyne stirred a desire that pushed aside his pain. But the unrevealed secrets of her well-guarded past made him suspect there was more to this homecoming than she claimed.”

According to the book description of Nick Of Time, “Nick St. Claire had come to North Pole, Alaska, with a few questions for Santa, only Claus had gone AWOL. Clearly, someone was trying to ruin the holidays, though the clever cowboy never had much use for them. Until he met Mary Christmas. Santa's only child, Mary, was left to tend shop in his absence--suddenly making her a killer's next target. Nick volunteered to protect her, but he was also a stranger, with a bundle of his own not-so-saintly secrets. Could Mary enlighten him on the joys of the season, or would a missing Santa squash her holiday spirit?”

Harriet Klausner said of To Kiss A Frog, “The Voodoo Queen warned playboy attorney Craig Thibodeaux not to play with the affections of her granddaughter or else she will curse him. When Craig rejected the granddaughter, the Voodoo Queen declared he did not know love so she hexed him. Craig will be a Frog during the day and a man at night, but if he fails to find his true love by the next full moon, he will turn into an amphibian permanently.

Craig initially scoffed at the curse until he finds that flies are a delicacy. He realizes that the clock is short and needs to find someone to love him. His only hope is environmental research scientist Elaine Smith, who is in the Bayou studying pollution. Craig manages to get the job of her guide, but soon becomes her protector as someone wants the professor stopped before she learns who the prime source of the Bayou pollutants are. Craig has fallen in love, but the curse requires the woman to love him and what intelligent person would want a pond frond as a home.

This fairy tale romance, the winner of a Golden Heart award, is a fine story that readers will enjoy because of the lead male's inadequacies as a hero. Craig is more frog than lion yet courageously will risk his life to keep Elaine safe; sort of mindful of the hero in My Demon Lover. Elle James provides a wonderful fantasy romantic suspense with two delightful lead protagonists, an intriguing Voodoo Queen, and some baddies to round out a fine novel.”

According to the book description of Texas-Sized Secrets, “At five months pregnant, Mona Grainger was facing danger on all fronts. With cattle rustlers driving her ranch to ruin, she needed a man ready for long hours and hard work. Enter Reed Bryson, who could ride, rope, kiss...and certainly handle a gun. His new boss may have depended on him more than she'd liked, but Reed wasn't hired to do her dirty work. She could do that herself. He was there to defend her land and cool down the hot-headed sheriff, whose advances threatened everything Mona held dear. Now the lone cowboy had more than his honor to uphold--he had a petite, pregnant powerhouse running his senses wild.”

One reader of Beneath the Texas Moon, “Eve moves to Spirit Canyon with her son, Joey, looking for a fresh start and a quiet town to heal in. Eve's hoping to escape from her nightmares and she's praying that Joey will heal from the trauma of watching his father being viciously mauled to death by his own dog. Mac recently returned from Iraq and also recently resigned from the Special Forces. The scars of his last mission run deep not only on his body but in his spirit as well. Spirit Canyon isn't as peaceful as Eve was expecting. There's an animal attacking livestock, it even got one of Mac's breeding goats. And someone wants to scare Eve by leaving her threatening messages. Though trying to fight her attraction to Mac, Eve finds herself accepting his protection and admires the bond he's forming with Joey.

This is definitely a paranormal. I liked the characters that Ms. James has created and I hope that there will be more to come about Spirit Canyon. The climax was most unexpected. A very memorable debut for Ms. James! This one came in my Intrigue subscription. I've been trying to clean up a lot of my older books in the TBR pile, so this one has been waiting. But reading the back blurb brought it closer to top of the pile; I just had to read it now. I'm glad I did. Excellent debut and I look forward to Ms. James' next release.”

One reader of Dakota Meltdown said, “The killing's just begun. Watch them drop now, one by one. Brenna Jensen was receiving letters from a serial killer. He seemed to want her back in her hometown of Riverton.  Nick Tarver was the FBI agent called in to stop the killer before another life is lost.  Stanley Klaus is Brenna's successful brother-in-law, that her mother uses to tell Brenna she needs to find a man like him.  Alice Klaus is Brenna's perfect sister. She has a perfect marriage, a perfect husband and 2 perfect children.  Victor Greeley is the philandering married man that duped Brenna into an affair. At least of one night. [big dummy] Bart Olsen was a man convicted of sexual offenses that Brenna put away in prison. Jason Connelly was a young computer whiz who stalked one of the would-be victims. It took them a while to figure out this killer's pattern and where he dumped the bodies of his victims. Great plot - excellent pace - the killer's reasons were a bit bizarre but sure fit.”

According to the book description of Alaskan Fantasy, “No matter how far he went, Sam Russell couldn't outrun his past. Not even in an epic race across the Alaskan wilderness. But surviving the harsh climate wasn't something Sam could do alone. Returning home to bask in the frozen sun, the last thing Special Agent Kat Sikes wanted was for reality to intrude. But fantasies didn't get any more real than Sam Russell. With his competitive intensity urging her on, she took his racing challenge determined to beat him at his own game. Despite the subzero temperatures, the heat between them was undeniable. Out of control and breathless, the pair hurtled toward the finish line, only to await one last showdown on the snow and ice.”

According to the book description of Blown Away, “Overseas, TJ Barton narrowly survived an American Embassy bombing, only to lose two good men: her influential boss and her lover, Sean McNeal. Back in Washington, TJ set out to find out who did it. Undaunted, she maneuvered through corridors of power, exposing the secrets hidden behind every door on Capitol Hill -only to smack right into the broad, familiar chest of Sean McNeal in the flesh. And she could have, would have decked him if she had the opportunity to get a good shot! Inexplicably Sean had survived and was now undercover. He needed TJ's silence, her help and her kisses more than he wanted to admit. The last thing he wanted to do was draw TJ into a web of high-stakes corruption. But there was no shaking her off and there was no way she was going to let him get killed again.”

According to the book description of Cowboy Sanctuary, “Ten years ago Army Ranger Cameron Morgan left his family's ranch with no plans to return... until his job as a bodyguard reunited him with his former sweetheart and the life he'd fled. Jennie Ward had been injured and her ranch sabotaged, so Cameron was critical to surviving an investigation that was getting riskier by the minute. But keeping his professional distance was nearly impossible, especially after Jennie nearly lost her life on his watch. Still, as his need to guard her mixed with his hunger to find the truth, Cameron found it hard to resist the pull of his old life-not to mention Jennie's offer of a second chance.”
