Mac McGovern, USN, served 20 years in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman.
His specialty was Cardio-Pulmonary Technology. During his career he served aboard ship, in hospitals, teaching, and
in recruiting Medical Professionals. He was the first Navy Master Training Specialist, Director of The Cardio-Pulmonary School,
and Director of The Encephalography School at Bethesda, Maryland. He recruited Medical Professionals at
the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and was the first enlisted Instructor for Medical Programs and National Field
Trainer for the Navy Recruiting Command in Pensacola, Fl. During his 20 years of Naval service, he was
the Sailor of the Year or Recruiter of the Year 15 years. Mac McGovern is the author of Poetry
Past And Present or the Ravings of a Madman.
