John Irwin spent over 31 years
in the military, half of it with Special Forces. He was schooled in Special Forces Operations and Intelligence, Strategic
Reconnaissance, Communications and as an Intelligence Analyst, all of which served him well when it came to writing this story.
Add in a BA in Sociology and Psychology and years of creative writing courses and you have the makings of a writer who can
take you inside the story and inside the characters as well, from one who's been there. John retired
from the United States Army in 1989. In his novel, “The Power,” “A top secret group is
formed two years after the war in Vietnam to search for POWs and Missing In Action Americans. They find much more than they
bargained for and therein lays the tale.”
