Lieutenant Richard Arrington (ret.)
served in the U. S. Army Military Police before beginning his law enforcement career. As a police officer
for the Roanoke Police Department (Virginia), Rick Arrington worked in every unit including the Community Policing Unit, Records
Unit and finally as a Zone Commander over the Southeast Quadrant of the city. He is currently a Program Administrative Specialist
for the Law Enforcement Services section of the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. Lieutenant
Richard Arrington is the author of Crime Prevention: The Law Enforcement Officer's Practical Guide.
