Lieutenant Colonel Joseph D. Posz, USA (ret.) a graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute (Class of 1955) is the author of West Point of the West: A Family Odyssey and Military Heroes of the New Mexico Military Institute.

In this book, the development of NMMI is viewed in a favorable perspective through the eyes of one family member.
