Chief Warrant Officer (4) Theodore R. Cromack, USAF (ret.) served in the United States Air Force from 1946 to 1967.  He is the author of The River Flows. According to the book description, “As the river flows, so does progress. Ellen's reminiscences cover sixteen generations, flowing across time and always close to the river. These generations represent the ethnic mixtures of the settlers among the hills and valleys that surround the river. A stone amulet worn by the women and passed from generation to generation yields a presentiment which guides their decisions. Every generation faces difficult decisions and preservation of the river and surrounding land always seems at odds with progress. Will this final problem be resolved? It is Ellen's decision.”
