Major Milton J. Torres, USAF
(ret.) was commissioned in 1954. In 1961, after earning a BS in engineering, he was “assigned to
Cape Kennedy AFS were he became a range control officer in the Gemini and Apollo programs. During his military
career, he flew 276 combat missions in the Vietnam War and earned 13 air medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross.
After his military career, he completed his doctoral studies and began an “industrial engineering researcher
at the Florida International University.”
Milton J. Torres is the author of The Good Guys Wore Blue Hats. According
