Lieutenant Fredrick D. Sundloff, USAF
(ret.) is the author of Dien Bien Phu Remembered: A Chapter in United States Air Force History, Classified and
Forgotten, February 5-July 19, 1954. The MOAA said of the book, “Dien Bien Phu fell May 7, 1954, and France
abandoned Indo-China (Vietnam). The United States accepted the burden of containing Communism in Southeast Asia. Sundloff
served in Indo-China before the millions of Americans who followed fought in a war that bitterly divided and changed America
forever. These are his memoirs of that critical time.”
