Clyde C. Wilton “received the call to preach the Gospel at the age of 20. After serving as pastor of many small churches, he became a chaplain in the United States Air Force, serving 3 years in Hawaii and 3 years in Japan. Following his time with the USAF, Wilton served as the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 40 years before retiring to continue the pursuit of his translation work. The Wilton Translation of the New Testament is the culmination of more than 30 years of research, study and work. He currently resides in Bryan, Texas.”  Clyde C. Wilton is the author of The Wilton Translation of the New Testament.
