According to the book description of
Medusa's Master, “Captain "Kat" Kim, leader of the all-female Medusa squad, lives by the warrior's
code. Trained in an ancient warrior tradition, she can scale a wall in complete silence. But when she's paired with Special
Forces Captain Jeff Steiger, she faces new danger. Steiger is all-American, from his blue eyes to his sun-streaked hair, and
his laid-back manner goes against Kat's control-freak ways. When the two hunt for a high-end art thief, their opposite styles
combust. And as mysterious commandos turn the job deadly, Kat must ditch her steely discipline and surrender to the desire
that threatens to take them both down.”
According to the book description of
Night Rescuer, “One last mission: deliver Melina Montez to a drug lord in the Peruvian rain
forest. Immediately after: deliver himself unto eternity. Commando John Hollister's last op had gone bad. His men were dead.
He'd failed. It was time to check out. Certain death awaited Melina. Her life in exchange for the lives of her family. Still,
the stunning doctor was desperate to find a way out. Desperate to change John's mind, she's given him a reason to live, but
will it be enough? Too many dangers lurk in the jungle. But the biggest threat may be the passion threatening to consume them
both.”
According to the book description of
The Nine Month Body Guard, “A disgraced Silver Rothchild has one last shot at superstardom.
But her Las Vegas comeback could turn into a huge flop, courtesy of an illegitimate baby on the way and a vengeful stalker
waiting in the wings. Now the pampered pop diva must spend 24/7 with her unbelievably uptight -undeniably sexy - Special Ops
bodyguard who's being bankrolled by her stepfather! Much to her surprise, a perilous, passion-filled night with Austin Dearing
proves they are sensational together. Too bad Silver's precious nine-month secret is about to become juicy tabloid fodder…and
Austin's round-the-clock protection is oh so temporary. Will behind-the-scenes machinations turn the singing starlet's highly
anticipated homecoming into her final curtain call?”
According to the book description of
Killer Affair, “A plane crash had left Maddie Ingersoll stranded, with a tropical storm approaching
and a serial killer on the loose. And it had brought her close—far too close—to the most compelling, most sensual
man she had ever encountered. She knew there were dark, unspoken secrets in Tom Laruso's past. And yet she agreed to masquerade
as his lover to try and trap the murderer stalking these once peaceful islands. But their charade of passion quickly flared
out of control, until it was as real and as powerful as the rising storm—and made them the target of a madman's deadly
rage.”
According to the book description of
The Dark Side of Night, “Kinsey Hollingsworth's tropical-getaway plans didn't include dodging
gunshots. Or a speedboat chase with Mitch Perovski, the tall and tempting spy who'd commandeered her boat. But the socialite
would handle anything Mitch demanded--whether it meant going undercover or under the covers. Mitch didn't work with partners.
And although Kinsey proved she was more than a pampered heiress, she was no match for the assassin targeting them...or for
Mitch's smoldering desire. He had to get through this one high-stakes task with her. But after a night in Kinsey's arms, could
he walk away from their partnership for good?”
According to the book description of
The Medusa Seduction, “I need you to follow me." The tall stranger whispered to her from
the shadows. And just like that, Sophie Giovanni was tapped for a top-secret mission with innocent lives at stake. Brian Riley
believed she possessed the knowledge to smoke out a deadly terrorist--all she had to do was trust the handsome Special Forces
soldier with her life. Brian needed Sophie. But training her in the art of covert commando warfare was proving more challenging
than he'd anticipated. He swore nothing would compromise this operation...until passion caught him by surprise. Now keeping
Sophie safe was his only mission--no matter what the cost to his heart or life.”
According to the book description of
The Medusa Affair, “After an accident allowed surgeons to reconstruct her face with Barbie
in mind, Misty Cordell focused on proving to herself she’s much more than a pretty face, even joining the Medusas, the
first all–female Special Forces team. But when she saves a handsome pilot, it’s a good thing she knows that looks
can be deceiving. Because Gregorii Harkov isn’t who he says he is. As Greg and Misty run for their lives from an unknown
enemy, they hardly know whether to trust one another, let alone anyone else. Can they find their way through the layers of
deception to the only truth that matters?”
According to the book description of
The Medusa Prophecy, “I really enjoyed this book. While this book was put out Harlequin Romance-I
wouldn't classify it as a Romance novel. In my opinion, that does not take away from a really fun, exciting and different
book. I loved the idea behind the Medusas-an all female Special Ops group. This one is about Karen-who
is a great and unusual heroine-portrayed as a 6 foot tall former pig farmers daughter and weight trainer. Karen
is a physically and mentally strong heroine and a breath of fresh air in a world of simpering, "too stupid too live"
romance heroines. Karen doesn't wait around to be saved, she saves others-and is so strong she can even carry the injured
hero, in a fireman's carry for several miles in the snow! The book was exciting and interesting enough
that you won't want to put it down. This is not your typical romance in any way-and that's a good thing. If you are looking
for action romance with strong, savvy heroines then I heartily recommend this short, fun book.”
According to the book description of
Haunted Echoes, “Interpol agent Ana Reisner has big problems. She's been ordered — by
the president of France — to solve a murder that hasn't happened yet and recover a stolen item that the owner refuses
to name. Worse, she must work with an ultra sexy former thief — a man she could end up arresting — and she's receiving
warnings from what Ana can only believe is a ghost. To solve the puzzle, Ana must uncover the truth about her own connection
to a lost cult of women, the caretakers of the Black Madonna icon. But as she turns from hunter into prey, Ana realizes that
her unknown legacy might just be her death warrant — and that some things are worth dying for.”
Harriet Klausner said of the The
Medusa Game, “The Top Secret Medusa Group is assigned to protect Anya Khalid at the Winter Olympics in
Lake Placid. Born in the Emirate of Bhoukar, but raised in Brisbane, she has become a world class figure skater who with the
blessing of the Emir represents her birth country in the games. However, instead of being a heroine, many of the Bhoukar residents
believe she is an abomination flaunting her sexuality and defying Islam.
Medusa Isabella Torres is assigned
as the lead to protect the skater because there is a viable assassination threat including a suicide bomber who could take
out innocents as well as Anya. Delta Force Commander Dex Thorpe leads the overall security to quietly insure Munich does not
happen in upstate New York. He detests working with a female, but soon changes his mind as he observes how competent Isabella
is. As they team up to protect a skater carrying the world on her shoulders, the two operatives fall in love; but each knows
keeping Anya safe and preventing a tragedy takes priority over their personal needs.
Timed perfect with the Olympics in
Torino in February and with the Spielberg movie, the latest Medusa tale is a strong novel that will excite the audience at
any time of the year. The thriller stars a strong proficient female and a chauvinistic male who quickly becomes a born again
supporter of women in dangerous missions due to the brave skillful work of Isabella. Part of the fascination in this novel
resides with Anya who has pressures few if any (perhaps Jesse Owens in 1936 or Israeli athletes after Munich) have ever faced.
The story line is driven by this wonderful support character as Cindy Dees provides the deepest best Medusa thriller yet because
of Anya.”
One reader of Medusa Rising
said, it “is the sequel to The Medusa Project, Cindy Dees ground breaking series novel with a team of 6 female soldiers
who are trained as commandos and become a new super secret government weapon against terror. The first book saw the ladies
going through their grueling training and their first op. Medusa Rising is their first real test... Center to the book is
Dr. Aleesha Gautier - Jamaican born she was a Navy doctor before her recruitment to the team. The book opens with Aleesha
questioning whether or not she can kill on command and wrestling with the inner demons of conflict and how this goes against
her medical oath. Her character is tested repeatedly as the women are brought in to provide intel on a cruise ship taken hostage
by a madman and his team of terrorists. Aleesha becomes primary on the op when one of the terrorists , Michael Somerset, takes
her into his confidence and helps her get close to them so they can rescue the ship. Michael is a SIS agent deep under cover
who was supposed to prevent this tragedy, not take part in it. His conflict and grief for what has happened makes this suave
James Bond character come to life with depth and dimension. He and Aleesha share a movie worthy attraction that is heart pounding
and sweeps you away as they work together trying to save all of these hostages. The fact that this is an
inter-racial romance is not even really an issue- Michael and Aleesha are both warriors and this transcends all other barriers.
Sexy, exciting and totally believeable- I loved this book and could not put it down!”
One reader of Target
said, “As a longtime series reader, I was excited about Silhouette's new Bombshell line. It's not strictly romance,
but features strong heroines doing cool things and finding love along the way. Target is part of the Athena Force promotion,
but stands well on its own and is a fun, fast-paced read. The heroine, Diana Lockworth, is a military intelligence
officer who also belongs to a super-secret organization called Oracle. She learns from her special Oracle contact that the
someone is going to assassinate the new president of the United States. Diana has just hours to find out who and why--and
thwart the attack. Why she's the only one who can do it is part of the fun--you must read for yourself! Her approach to the
president and subsequent rapid-fire adventures are pure entertainment. The author knows the military and makes this adventure
come to life. The story is told in 24 hours, much like the TV show 24, making for a unique, innovative delivery of the tale.
If you are a suspense/thriller/romantic suspense fan, check this one out, it's good.”
One reader of Killer Instinct
said, “Cindy Dees tells a tightly woven , well crafted action packed thriller that goes beyond the romance genre. Written
in the style of a James Bond espionage story, mixed with romantic suspense our story begins with Amanda McClintock sneaking
into her friend Marina's dressing room at Carnegie Hall and having a retired Russian agent take a cyanide pill rather than
tell Amanda what he is hiding! Taylor Roberts is a clinical psychologist assigned more to watch out for Amanda than really
take part in her case tracking down illegal diamond smuggling for arms. They travel all over the world from one exotic locale
to another, dodging bad guys and bullets. Taylor learns how to be an agent and Amanda learns how to put her cold exterior
aside and reveal the human being within. They fall in love and support each other while unraveling a complex mystery of high
intrigue. I really like this book- what the other Bombshells have missed is the intensity of the relationship
and the strong character and relationship development that Cindy Dees excels at with this book. I really cared about both
characters and found myself thoroughly engaged from start to end. The entity they work for Deveraux has been described as
a group of good guys looking for vigilante justice.”
One reader of Behind Enemy
Lines said, “Air Force Captain Annie O'Donnell found herself involved in a dangerous military mission
that required her to fly into a war zone to retrieve an elite group of Special Operations personnel. She is unprepared when
a warning signal suddenly goes off signaling that the enemy below had engaged missile lock on her aircraft. To stay put and
allow the last team member enough time to access the helicopter would mean certain death for all members involved. She makes
the painful decision to put the aircraft into motion and sacrifice the life of the lone soldier who was helplessly suspended
underneath her helicopter. Racked with guilt and indecision, she silently prays for his death to be quick and painless. Grimly
one of the special operations leaders provides a name to the faceless individual -Major Thomas Folly. Major Thomas Folly was
a prisoner in a dark mass that had consumed his body. The only sensation he was acutely aware of feeling was agonizing pain.
Somewhere far away, a soothing voice willed him to live. He knew the soothing hand that caressed his brow must surely belong
to an angel. If he willed his eyes to open, would he find that he had died and gone to Heaven? Watch out SuzAnne Brockmann,
be warned Lindsey McKenna, newcomer Cindy Dees is on the block and is already commanding attention. It has been years since
I felt such a strong sensation about a new voice in the romance industry. With Cindy Dees military background, she has all
the ammunition to write one explosive novel. This new author is not to be missed, I predict she will take the romance genre
by a tremendous storm!”

One reader of Her Secret
Agent Man said, “Dutch is Special Ops and has been invited back into the life of the woman that was responsible
for the torture and death of his younger brother. She wants to make a deal....she'll give him the means to destroy her father,
an international criminal, if he will keep her alive. Right from the beginning Dutch is torn. He wants to kill Julia and if
he finds out that her sister is being held hostage by her father then he will have the means for classic eye-for-an-eye revenge.
But his nature is that of protector. And she brings out his nature despite his suspicions of her motives and her secret. He
spends the book vacillating between his desire for revenge and his need to see her murderous father brought to justice. The
climax is an exciting scene between Julia and her father, when he puts the deal to her bluntly. Her sister's life for Dutch's.
Considering that she went into this nightmare knowing that she would die, and has been moving forward only to save to her
sister's life.”
One reader of The Medusa
Project said, “Cindy Dees new book THE MEDUSA PROJECT absolutely rocks in an all out kick butt military
story involving women finally being `allowed' to join the Special Forces program. It is so well written and just so fabulous,
I hardly know where to start. Air Force Major Vanessa Blake after waiting years for the opportunity is
tasked to lead the first ever all female Special Forces team. She is brilliant in her strategy against all odds from the get
go. She uses her brains and skills to maneuver around all the walls put up to block her goal. Starting with getting a hacker
to help pick her team electronically instead of slogging through thousands of paper files.
Lieutenant Colonel Jake Scatalone the
tough as nails trainer on a mission to do whatever it takes to make the Medusa's want to quit during training. But they don't
quit. They unite and pull together making their team the best. They tough out every thing he dishes out eventually earning
his respect and support. I read this in one day alternately cheering because it was just so good and pouting
because it was over when I was done. I finished it an hour ago and I already want to read it again.
My advice...run, do not walk to get a copy of this book. It will go right on your keeper shelf. I have to say this
is my FAVORITE Silhouette Bombshell thus far.”
One reader of A Gentleman
and A Soldier said, “This book was really good, and earned a solid 5 star review in my opinion. The action
starts early in the book - the assassin makes his appearance a mere four pages into the book, and he's there pretty much throughout
the entire story. The action never really slowed down, either. You'll feel your heart racing as Susan and Mac manage to once
again elude the assassins, but you have to wonder how long their luck will hold out. The romantic tension
starts as soon as the characters come in contact with one another, and honestly I read through this book wondering if the
characters really could try again at their relationship (even though you know they will!) or if they would be unable to get
past their mistakes. Mac was a great character, definitely strong but sensitive enough to become a really likeable guy. And
the author definitely knew what she was writing about - enough technical detail to give you an idea of what is going on, but
not enough to bore you. And what a great balance of romance and action - it was great! This is the third
book in a series of sorts about Charlie Squad. Captain Folly's book (first in the series) is called "Behind Enemy Lines"
and Tex's book (second in the series; Tex is Susan's brother) is "Line of Fire" (both by Cindy Dees). I can't wait
to read their books, and I'm looking forward to reading more about Charlie Squad!”
